HiPath SIcurity Card Manager The secure, high performance smart card management and personalization system A smart card must be prepared for its intended purpose. It is assigned to a person, the card holder. The respective data is written onto all card components. HiPath SIcurity Card Manager is a Web-based card management and personalization system. It is ideally suited for small and medium-sized enterprises interested in managing and personalizing the cards themselves. The range of capabilities is from recording of cardholder data to issuing smart cards.

Administration of the status of cards that have already been issued is supported as well.HiPath SIcurity Card Manager provides interfaces to data bases and other systems that supply data for card management and are required for card utilization, e.g. physical access control or Certification Authorities.
HiPath SIcurity Card Manager offers a card personalization component with an interface to the Microsoft CA for initializing and personalizing HiPath SIcurity CardOS smart cards. In addition, it offers a script interpreter for programming individual interfaces to other systems, such as physical access control systems.
HiPath SIcurity Card Manager also features a layout tool for designing cards. It is used both to design the optical appearance of the card and to encode chips and other means of data storage, such as magnetic strips or bar codes. HiPath SIcurity Card Manager supports contact-less chips of the types Mifare, Legic, Hitag, and HID Proximity.
A digital camera connection is provided and an automatic image processing tool is integrated for applying a photo of the card holder to the card. System users with different authorizations can be created by means of user administration.
For card output, HiPath SIcurity Card Manager supports a number of printers with integrated card readers so that visual and electronic personalization of cards can be performed in one step.
The client server concept means that IDs can be produced for employees and handed out on the spot with minimal effort.
